Notre Maison

Timeless French, thoughtfully served.

The entrance to L'Étoile in the Snouder's Building
Chapitre I

The historic Snouder's Building.

L'Étoile occupies a quiet corner of the Snouder's Building on South Street — our home in Oyster Bay, a storefront that has been part of the village's main street for more than a hundred years.

Inside, the space is understated and elegant, designed for a more intimate kind of dining. Thoughtful details, warm lighting, and a sense of ease set the tone for evenings that feel both refined and relaxed.

Chapitre II

Classic French, as we were taught.

Our menu draws from the foundations of French cuisine — escargots, onion soup, seafood towers, steak frites, duck, and thoughtfully prepared tartares.

Simple in approach, refined in execution, and designed for a dining experience that feels unhurried and complete.

Chapitre III

A cellar, France forward.

Our wine list is rooted in the classic regions of France — Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Loire and the Rhône — with a thoughtful selection from Italy, Spain, California and beyond.

Balanced between everyday bottles and standout vintages, it's a list built to complement the table.
